According To Hindu Dharma, It is said that Lord Shiva has created this high altitude lake when he pierced glacier with his Trishul. During full moon festival Or Janai Purnima, thousands of Devotees come here to worship & take bathe with Holy water. it is believed that taking a holy dip in the cold water all your pain, sorrows, and sins, including those of your past lives, will be washed off.
Langtang Gosainkunda trek is filled with bamboo forests, Oaks, Rhododendron forests & varieties of Flora & Fauna featuring small waterfalls along the way.

PHYSICAL FITNESS
The Langtang valley lies in close proximity to Kathmandu, so there's nothing to worry about. The maximum elevation you will cover is at Tserko Ri (5000m) & it's achievable. The trails are wider & there's no chance of altitude sickness. So it's fair to say even novice travellers can make it.
