Chasing down the route followed by early explorers, trekking to Everest base camp via Jiri takes you to land of Sherpa community & their close affinity to Tibetan language, culture and religion. You will pass through several beautiful villages & monasteries followed by famous Sagarmatha national park, a UNESCO world heritage site.

Jiri is a small town with an altitude of 1905 m lying the easternmost terminus of the highway coming from Kathmandu.
